Andy Wise's "Orgo Yachting" UK Sailing & Racing Pages

In association with AmazonShall we go to work today - Orgo Yachting !!

Hello sailor! - I spend a lot of my time sailing, and very little web surfing - I'd rather be out on the water than reading about someone else sailing.  Having said that, there are some useful resources on the Internet for sailors so I am trying to gather some of them together here.

Some of the information here is edited by me and as I do this as a hobby (am I mad?) it can not be guaranteed to be up to date or accurate - I try my best!

You'll find that the regularity of updates falls of in the summer as I spend my spare time sailing instead of being stuck in front of a monitor geeking ;-)

Some pages I have put together.

The Crouch Yacht Club in Burnham-on-Crouch is an excellent club for racing and social events.

SailEast Program for 1999 - Exciting round the cans and Olympic style courses, big fleets, fantastic social programme, overall, class and team prizes make the Sail East Championship the hottest racing series in the South East for 1999, be sure you don't miss it!

The EAORA page
The East Anglian Offshore Racing Association is the Offshore compliment to SailEast.  The 2003 Programme and EAORA official site

Books on Racing I recommend, provided in association with Amazon UK.

Do you need crew or are you available to crew. This service is now getting  popular - please visit my CrewSearch Page and register! Andy's International CrewSearch Page.

Burnham Week is one of the premier racing weeks in the UK.  Another Burnham yachtie has put together a new Burnham Week site.  The info here on my site is very out of date.... here's what the program was all those years ago - and roughly what it will be this year. Come and join us for a fantastic week of racing and great social life on the river Crouch in Essex. Information on the week and Entry form

Weather forecasts - essential race planning information

No Sailing page is complete without a weather service, the UK Met Office is as good a source as I know - one day when I'm rich and famous I'll buy them a window for their office to improve the accuracy ;-)
